Reports for Laravel

Guest & anonymous reports

The reporter column is nullable, so visitors who aren’t signed in can report too. Pass a guest identifier — a hash of the IP address or email — to keep duplicate prevention working:

Reports::report($post)
    ->asGuest(hash('sha256', $request->ip()))
    ->for('spam')
    ->because('Obvious spam.')
    ->create();

The identifier is stored in guest_identifier and the reporter stays null. With prevent_duplicates on, the same identifier cannot report the same subject twice. The package stores exactly what you pass, so hash it first rather than storing a raw IP or email.

Fully anonymous reports

// No reporter and no guest identifier: stored, but never deduplicated.
Reports::report($post)->for(Reason::Spam)->create();

Guest and anonymous reports count towards reportsCount(), the aggregation scopes and the threshold like any other. isReportedBy() matches reporter models only.
