Google Places for Laravel
Requirements
- PHP 8.4+
- Laravel 12 or 13
- A Google Maps Platform API key with the Places API (New), Routes API and Geocoding API enabled
- No PHP extensions beyond what Laravel itself requires
Composer also installs four small Roundly packages the client builds on: package-toolkit-for-laravel (service provider, about section, retry-after contract), enums-for-laravel (TravelMode helpers), geolocation-for-laravel (the google_places driver) and http-client-rate-limits-for-laravel (per-API pacing). There is no Google SDK — every call goes through Laravel’s own HTTP client.
