Requirements

PHP 8.4+
Laravel 12 or 13
SQLite, PostgreSQL or MySQL/MariaDB — tested on SQLite, PostgreSQL 16 and MySQL 8
The package’s tables in the same database as the models that have a lifecycle — and, for models on a non-default connection, lifecycle:sweep --database=<name> scheduled for that connection
MySQL/MariaDB with binary logging: binlog_format ROW or MIXED for quota’d transitions (or transactions.mysql_read_committed set to false)
Runtime dependencies: Laravel’s own illuminate/* components plus Roundly’s package-toolkit-for-laravel and enums-for-laravel — no third-party vendors
