Installation

Require the package. The service provider is auto-discovered — no manual registration, and no configuration is needed to start:

composer require roundly-consulting/http-client-rate-limits-for-laravel

The config file is optional — every key has a default. Publish it only to define named profiles or change the store, deferrer or events:

php artisan vendor:publish --tag="http-client-rate-limits-config"

Database store migration

Only if you use the DatabaseStore, publish and run its migration. It creates the http_client_rate_limits hits table and the http_client_rate_limit_owners table the store locks and keeps adaptive penalties in:

php artisan vendor:publish --tag="http-client-rate-limits-migrations"
php artisan migrate

The migration is not loaded automatically — php artisan migrate only creates the tables once you have published it into your app’s database/migrations. Publishing again is idempotent: it overwrites the file it already placed instead of adding a second copy.
