Installation
Require the package with Composer. The service provider and the Git facade alias are auto-discovered — there is nothing to register by hand:
composer require roundly-consulting/git-for-laravelThe package works with zero configuration — the settings you’re likely to change are all env-backed. Publish the config file only when you want to change it:
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="git-config"If you receive webhooks and want to own the route definition, publish the route stub as well:
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="git-routes"Checking the setup
The package contributes its own section to Laravel’s about command:
php artisan about- Providers — the forges with a default token configured (or NONE).
- Rate limiting — the forges still paced by the client-side limiter (or OFF).
- Webhooks — the webhook path when receiving is enabled, otherwise OFF.
- Conditional caching — ON or OFF.
Next, put a token in .env (GITHUB_TOKEN, GITLAB_TOKEN or BITBUCKET_TOKEN) and call Git::github() — see The Git facade.
