Installation
Require the package, then publish and run its migrations. The service provider and the Forms facade are auto-discovered — no manual registration:
composer require roundly-consulting/forms-for-laravel
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="forms-migrations"
php artisan migrateThe migrations are not loaded automatically — publishing is what puts them in your database/migrations, so a bare php artisan migrate won’t create the forms tables until you do. They publish in dependency order (forms → groups → fields → submissions → form submissions), so they run cleanly against an empty database with foreign keys intact. They are forward-only: they define no down(), so migrate:rollback leaves the forms tables in place.
Dependency migrations
Forms builds on other Roundly packages — enums, attributes, media library and approvals — which Composer installs for you. Publish and migrate their tables too:
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="approvals-migrations"
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="attributes-migrations"
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="media-migrations"
php artisan migrateConfig and translations
The config file is optional — publish it to swap models, map field types or change media and review settings:
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="forms-config"Publish the translations to customise the package’s exception messages (the forms::messages namespace):
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="forms-translations"The publish tags the package exposes are forms-migrations, forms-config and forms-translations.
