# Installation

Require the package with Composer. The service provider and the Slugs facade alias are auto-discovered — no manual registration:

```bash
composer require roundly-consulting/sluggable-for-laravel
```

The package needs zero host configuration. Publish the config file and the validation translations only if you want to change them:

```bash
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="sluggable-config"
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="sluggable-translations"
```

The slug-history migration is publish-only — nothing runs until you publish it. You need it only if you use slug history (301 redirects from old URLs):

```bash
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="sluggable-migrations"
php artisan migrate
```

## Publish tags

| Tag | Publishes | When |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `sluggable-config` | config/sluggable.php | To change defaults. |
| `sluggable-translations` | lang/vendor/sluggable (en + sk) | To change validation messages. |
| `sluggable-migrations` | create\_slug\_history\_table (timestamped) | Only for slug history. |

## About command

php artisan about shows a Sluggable section with counts and switches only — supported-locale count, the locale source, history and redirect on/off, reserved-word count, retries, key type and whether the defaults are customised. It never prints the locale list or the reserved words.
