# Agent skill

Install the registry once as an Agent Skill and your coding agent reaches for Roundly packages on its own, in every task — no prompt to paste. Run the skills CLI in your Laravel project:

```bash
npx skills add roundly-consulting/roundly-for-laravel
```

It installs the skill for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and the other agents the CLI supports.

## Skill or prompt?

Both give your agent the same registry and the same rules. The difference is how long they last:

| | Agent skill | One-time prompt |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Setup | One command per project, or once for all your projects with `-g` | None — copy and paste |
| Applies to | Every task, whenever a feature matches a package | The conversation you paste it into |
| Best for | Ongoing work on an app, and teams who commit it to the repository | Starting a new app, or trying the registry out |
| Agents | Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and the others the skills CLI supports | Any coding agent that can fetch a URL |

## More commands

| To | Run |
| --- | --- |
| See what it installs, without installing | `npx skills add roundly-consulting/roundly-for-laravel --list` |
| Install for chosen agents only | `npx skills add roundly-consulting/roundly-for-laravel -a claude-code -a cursor -a codex` |
| Install for all your projects (user level) | `npx skills add roundly-consulting/roundly-for-laravel -g` |
| Update to the latest version | `npx skills update roundly-for-laravel` |
| Remove it | `npx skills remove roundly-for-laravel` |

## What it adds to your project

It writes `.agents/skills/roundly-for-laravel/` — `SKILL.md` plus a bundled `references/REGISTRY.md` — links it into each agent’s skills folder (for example `.claude/skills/` for Claude Code) and records it in `skills-lock.json`. Commit those so your teammates’ agents get the skill too, or install with `-g` to keep it out of the repository.

## Install as a Claude Code plugin

In Claude Code, you can add it as a plugin instead:

```
/plugin marketplace add roundly-consulting/roundly-for-laravel
/plugin install roundly-for-laravel@roundly-consulting
```

## What the skill does

- Kicks in when a task needs a feature a Roundly package covers — login, 2FA, roles and permissions, shops, credits, posts, teams, approvals and more.
- Reads the latest REGISTRY.md from GitHub, so new packages are included, or its bundled copy when it’s offline.
- Installs the packages it picks with `composer require` and reads each package’s docs on this site before writing code against it.
- Ships no scripts and runs nothing else.
