# Requirements

- PHP 8.4 or newer — CI tests 8.4, 8.5 and 8.6 — with the hash, mbstring and openssl extensions (through crypto-for-laravel)
- Laravel 13
- MySQL or PostgreSQL in production; SQLite works for tests
- A queue worker for mail, digests and large fan-outs (or notifications.queue.enabled off)
- A scheduler running notifications:sweep every minute
- The Roundly packages it builds on, installed by Composer with auto-discovered providers: crypto, enums, options and package-toolkit (^2.0) — publish options-for-laravel’s migrations too
- Optional, not dependencies: contacts-for-laravel (mail to the primary or verified email contact) and teams-for-laravel (recipients by team role or membership) — both are wired in through the recipes in these docs
