# Requirements

- PHP 8.4+
- Laravel 12 or 13
- ext-fileinfo — mime types are sniffed from the bytes
- ext-imagick (preferred) or ext-gd — only needed to generate image variants; storing media without variants requires neither
- ext-curl — for addFromUrl() and MediaLibrary::remote()->fetch() with host names: the private-network guard pins each connection to the vetted addresses through curl, and refuses a host name it cannot pin
- ext-intl (optional) — lets the URL guard check internationalised (bücher.example) and punycode (xn--bcher-kva.example) host names; without it, both are refused
- league/flysystem-aws-s3-v3 (optional) — only for the presigned-s3 disk driver, exactly as Laravel’s own s3 driver needs it
- roundly-consulting/package-toolkit-for-laravel — installed automatically by Composer
